Order the pCNP test when presented with an acute inflammatory response without an obvious explanation for the illness. In most cases, the pCNP test can help rule-in infection more rapidly than standard tests available.

pCNP is not an inflammatory biomarker

Unlike the other biomarkers that will indicate the presence of an inflammatory response, pCNP is unique in it's specificity to underlying infection as being the origin.
